A new organizational model for the Marketing and Development is gaining in popularity among American orchestras. Dave Douglas is an American trumpeter and composer.

Douglas grew up in New Jersey and studied piano as a child, trombone and trumpet. He studied music in Barcelona and Boston, then at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory. In 1984 he moved to New York where he studied at New York University. In 1987 he made his first European tour with Horace Silver.

Since 1993, Douglas has recorded more than 20 solo albums. He has worked with numerous musicians, including Jack McDuff particular . In his compositions he processed material by musicians such as Duke Ellington , Thelonious Monk, Roland Kirk and Kurt Weill , along with elements of Eastern European folklore.
